Free Business Financial Health Check
How financially healthy is your business — really? This 10-question assessment scores you across five critical areas: cash reserves, profit margins, revenue concentration, debt levels and operational resilience. Most business owners believe their finances are in better shape than they actually are. This assessment gives you an honest, data-backed view in under two minutes.
How it works: Answer 10 questions about your business. Each answer is scored, and your results are broken down by area with specific recommendations for improvement.
What your score means
A strong score means your business has healthy cash reserves, good margins, diversified revenue and manageable debt. A lower score does not mean your business is failing — it means there are specific areas where a small improvement could make a significant difference to your financial resilience. The most common weak spots we see are insufficient cash reserves (fewer than three months of expenses) and over-reliance on a small number of customers.
Frequently asked questions
How much cash reserve should a small business hold?
Three to six months of fixed operating expenses is the standard recommendation. Fewer than three months leaves you vulnerable to a single bad month or unexpected cost. Businesses with seasonal revenue or long payment cycles should aim for the higher end of this range.
What is revenue concentration and why does it matter?
If more than 25% of your revenue comes from a single customer, you have a concentration risk. Losing that customer would cause immediate and significant financial damage. Diversifying your customer base — even slightly — dramatically improves your resilience.
